I received a massive group message the other night asking for choir members to be a part of a very ‘special’ performance which was very hush hush this weekend. I had a bit of an idea what Ryan might be planning so I packed my bags with no intention of doing any singing. Truthfully knowing that this would be one of those days you just don’t come across very often. It’s actually been a bit of a lifelong dream of mine to be involved in a flashmob.. (if by lifelong you mean the last few years) Anyway. The group of musicians and backup singer/dancers congregated at the park instruments in hand awaiting the fateful text message to let them know Ryan and Chelsea had arrived. Ryan managed to play it cool enough to let Chelsea think he was just playing her a song by himself till a drummer appeared round the corner during the second verse.. little by little the band grew and well .. the rest, as they say, is history. I stopped taking photos mid way through the song to record some of it on video for them so you can view the last few minutes of this joyous occasion. Sorry for the poor sound & video quality it was quite windy & my video skills are sorely lacking.
So incredibly thankful to God for his grace and love demonstrated through beautiful people. Namely my fiancee, ryanecollings, for writing and directing this whole thing, and just wanting to marry me in the first place. You are my favourite. To our wonderful friends and family (church and biological) for helping out so much, just being there and supporting us throughout our journey…and very specifically, the splendiferous Joshua Mikhaiel, for capturing this whole wonderful thing in such a special, beautiful, life changing way.
